 Paul, called as an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,1 Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,1 Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,1 PAUL, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Sosthenes a brother, 1 Paul, a called apostle of Jesus Christ, through the will of God, and Sosthenes the brother,
 To the church of God which is at Corinth, to those who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, saints by calling, with all who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:2 unto the church of God which is at Corinth, even them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be'saints, with all that call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place, their Lord and ours:2 To the church of God that is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that invoke the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, in every place of theirs and ours. 2 to the assembly of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called saints, with all those calling upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ in every place -- both theirs and ours:
 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.3 Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.3 Grace to you, and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!
 I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus,4 I thank my God always on your behalf, for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;4 I thank my God always concerning you, for the grace of God which was given you in Christ Jesus;4 I give thanks to my God always for you, for the grace of God that is given you in Christ Jesus, 4 I give thanks to my God always concerning you for the grace of God that was given to you in Christ Jesus,
 that in everything you were enriched in Him, in all speech and all knowledge,5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge;5 that in everything ye were enriched in him, in all utterance and all knowledge;5 That in all things you are made rich in him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge; 5 that in every thing ye were enriched in him, in all discourse and all knowledge,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 even as the testimony concerning Christ was confirmed in you,6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:6 even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:6 As the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 6 according as the testimony of the Christ was confirmed in you,
 so that you are not lacking in any gift, awaiting eagerly the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,7 So that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:7 so that ye come behind in no gift; waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ;7 So that nothing is wanting to you in any grace, waiting for the manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 so that ye are not behind in any gift, waiting for the revelation of our Lord Jesus Christ,
 who will also confirm you to the end, blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.8 who shall also confirm you unto the end, that ye be unreproveable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.8 Who also will confirm you unto the end without crime, in the day of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 8 who also shall confirm you unto the end -- unblamable in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ;
 God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.9 God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.9 God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.9 God is faithful: by whom you are called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord. 9 faithful is God, through whom ye were called to the fellowship of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.10 Now I beseech you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfected together in the same mind and in the same judgment.10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no schisms among you; but that you be perfect in the same mind, and in the same judgment. 10 And I call upon you, brethren, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that the same thing ye may all say, and there may not be divisions among you, and ye may be perfected in the same mind, and in the same judgment,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 For I have been informed concerning you, my brethren, by Chloe's people, that there are quarrels among you.11 For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.11 For it hath been signified unto me concerning you, my brethren, by them that are of the household of Chloe, that there are contentions among you.11 For it hath been signified unto me, my brethren, of you, by them that are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. 11 for it was signified to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe, that contentions are among you;
 Now I mean this, that each one of you is saying, "I am of Paul," and "I of Apollos," and "I of Cephas," and "I of Christ."12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos; and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.12 Now this I mean, that each one of you saith, I am of Paul; and I of Apollos: and I of Cephas; and I of Christ.12 Now this I say, that every one of you saith: I indeed am of Paul; and I am of Apollo; and I am of Cephas; and I of Christ. 12 and I say this, that each one of you saith, 'I, indeed, am of Paul' -- 'and I of Apollos,' -- 'and I of Cephas,' -- 'and I of Christ.'
 Has Christ been divided? Paul was not crucified for you, was he? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?13 Is Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized into the name of Paul?13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul then crucified for you? or were you baptized in the name of Paul? 13 Hath the Christ been divided? was Paul crucified for you? or to the name of Paul were ye baptized;
 I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, but Crispus and Gaius;14 I thank God that I baptized none of you, save Crispus and Gaius;14 I give God thanks, that I baptized none of you but Crispus and Caius; 14 I give thanks to God that no one of you did I baptize, except Crispus and Gaius --
 so that no one would say you were baptized in my name.15 Lest any should say that I had baptized in mine own name.15 lest any man should say that ye were baptized into my name.15 Lest any should say that you were baptized in my name. 15 that no one may say that to my own name I did baptize;
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 Now I did baptize also the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized any other.16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanas: besides, I know not whether I baptized any other.16 And I baptized also the household of Stephanus; besides, I know not whether I baptized any other. 16 and I did baptize also Stephanas' household -- further, I have not known if I did baptize any other.
 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void.17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not in wisdom of speech, lest the cross of Christ should be made void. 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but -- to proclaim good news; not in wisdom of discourse, that the cross of the Christ may not be made of none effect;
The Wisdom of God
 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.18 For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.18 For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.18 For the word of the cross, to them indeed that perish, is foolishness; but to them that are saved, that is, to us, it is the power of God. 18 for the word of the cross to those indeed perishing is foolishness, and to us -- those being saved -- it is the power of God,
 For it is written, "I WILL DESTROY THE WISDOM OF THE WISE, AND THE CLEVERNESS OF THE CLEVER I WILL SET ASIDE."19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nought.19 For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the prudence of the prudent I will reject. 19 for it hath been written, 'I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the intelligence of the intelligent I will bring to nought;'
 Where is the wise man? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? 20 where is the wise? where the scribe? where a disputer of this age? did not God make foolish the wisdom of this world?
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world, by wisdom, knew not God, it pleased God, by the foolishness of our preaching, to save them that believe. 21 for, seeing in the wisdom of God the world through the wisdom knew not God, it did please God through the foolishness of the preaching to save those believing.
 For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom;22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek after wisdom:22 Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom:22 For both the Jews require signs, and the Greeks seek after wisdom: 22 Since also Jews ask a sign, and Greeks seek wisdom,
 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness,23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto the Greeks foolishness;23 but we preach Christ crucified, unto Jews a stumblingblock, and unto Gentiles foolishness;23 But we preach Christ crucified, unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles foolishness: 23 also we -- we preach Christ crucified, to Jews, indeed, a stumbling-block, and to Greeks foolishness,
 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.24 But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.24 but unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.24 But unto them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God. 24 and to those called -- both Jews and Greeks -- Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God,
 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 25 because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men;
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 For consider your calling, brethren, that there were not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:26 For behold your calling, brethren, that not many wise after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called :26 For see your vocation, brethren, that there are not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble: 26 for see your calling, brethren, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble;
 but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong,27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;27 but God chose the foolish things of the world, that he might put to shame them that are wise; and God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong;27 But the foolish things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the wise; and the weak things of the world hath God chosen, that he may confound the strong. 27 but the foolish things of the world did God choose, that the wise He may put to shame; and the weak things of the world did God choose that He may put to shame the strong;
 and the base things of the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may nullify the things that are,28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:28 and the base things of the world, and the things that are despised, did God choose, yea and the things that are not, that he might bring to nought the things that are:28 And the base things of the world, and the things that are contemptible, hath God chosen, and things that are not, that he might bring to nought things that are: 28 and the base things of the world, and the things despised did God choose, and the things that are not, that the things that are He may make useless --
 so that no man may boast before God.29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.29 that no flesh should glory before God.29 That no flesh should glory in his sight. 29 that no flesh may glory before Him;
 But by His doing you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption,30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who was made unto us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:30 But of him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and justice, and sanctification, and redemption: 30 and of Him ye -- ye are in Christ Jesus, who became to us from God wisdom, righteousness also, and sanctification, and redemption,
NASBKJVASVDRBYLT
 so that, just as it is written, "LET HIM WHO BOASTS, BOAST IN THE LORD."31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.31 that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.31 That, as it is written: He that glorieth, may glory in the Lord. 31 that, according as it hath been written, 'He who is glorying -- in the Lord let him glory.'
